Snapchat My Data Viewer

Open Snapchat's My Data export and turn the scattered ZIP parts into a private recap: chats, saved messages, media IDs, Memories metadata, friends, account history, Snap activity, stories, profile rows, and location coverage.

Parsing runs in your browser. Privacy mode masks chat names, message text, account details, and locations before screen sharing.

Multi-part exports work best when all ZIPs are selected together. Extracted folders can also preview loose media files.

Getting the export

  1. Open accounts.snapchat.com/accounts/downloadmydata and request My Data
  2. Download every ZIP part Snapchat gives you for the same request
  3. Drop all ZIP parts here together, or extract them into one folder and choose that folder
  4. Keep the html or json folder, chat_media, and memories together for the richest recap

Multi-part exports

  • Snapchat sometimes splits large exports into 2-3 ZIP files — select every part together in one upload.
  • A missing ZIP part can mean missing Memories or chat media, without any error shown.
  • Re-checking after this page updates? Re-select your original ZIP files or extracted folder from scratch.

Snapchat export map

Waiting for a Snapchat export. This reader looks for chats, chat media, Memories, friends, account history, Snap activity, stories, location rows, and profile data.

ZIP uploads read the available JSON or HTML data, then load a capped set of media previews for speed and memory safety. Extracted folders can preview loose media files directly.

FAQ

Snapchat export questions

Why is my Snapchat export in several ZIP files?

Snapchat splits large My Data exports into parts. Select all of the ZIP parts from the same request together, or extract them into one folder and choose that folder.

How do I request my Snapchat data?

Go to accounts.snapchat.com, open the My Data page, and request your data. Download every ZIP part Snapchat provides for that request.

Why do the activity charts only count saved chats?

Snapchat keeps metadata for unsaved chats only for a recent rolling window. Counting it would spike whichever month is most recent, so the charts count saved chat rows.

Can it show my photos and videos?

Yes. Media previews are pulled from the ZIP up to a size cap, and an extracted folder can preview loose media files. The viewer reads JSON or HTML data without inflating the whole media archive.

Why are some media files unassigned?

Not every file in the export can be linked to a chat message. The Media tab explains how many were linked and lets you view the unassigned ones.
